As director of development of scripted television, Isabel’s focus is on helping eOne build a strong slate of projects for both the domestic and international marketplaces. She is passionate about storytelling and is committed to supporting unique voices with distinct points of view.
Previous to eOne, Isabel spent nine years with the Canadian Film Centre. As the executive in charge of project development and packaging, she played a lead role in the strategic design and delivery of many high-profile programs and marketplace initiatives, and built partnerships and international opportunities for CFC alumni and their projects. Later, as executive in charge of production and post, she oversaw the development, production and delivery of over 300 productions.
Isabel is a CFC producer alumna and holds a BFA in theatre and an MFA in acting. She was co-writer and co-host of the Gemini-nominated series My Messy Bedroom and has produced seven short films. She’s participated on industry advisories, juries and panels for the Toronto International Film Festival, Women in Film, ImagiNATIVE, the Female Eye Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, ACTRA, the Whistler Film Festival, Screen Nova Scotia and the Tribeca Film Institute. She co-designed the Future of Film initiative with Ted Hope, in partnership with Fandor.
In 2016 Isabel completed a global MBA at University of Toronto (Rotman School of Management) and University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, with a focus on international business, strategy, innovation and leadership.
