ONTARIO PRODUCER ROUND-UP

(Closed door session. By invitation only)

DATE & TIME: Saturday, June 24th, 12PM – 4PM

LOCATION: BUC, 140 Wineva Ave. Room #2

Made with the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation.

In an effort to evolve and expand production opportunities for women writers and directors in Ontario, The Female Eye Film Festival is rounding up established Ontario-based producers and emerging women producers for a new industry initiative.

Over the years, we have noted that many women writers/filmmakers are not on the radar of local producers. The goal of the Ontario Producer Round-Up is to team emerging women producers and established producers, who will then meet with award-winning FeFF directors and writers culled from 15 years of the festival to participate in a program geared toward the production of features directed and written by women. The writers/directors will pitch their feature projects in closed-door sessions, then producers will select projects for development in Phase Two, during TIFF 2017; in Phase Three, starting December 2017, the projects will be further developed toward the ultimate goal of completion.

We feel that by engaging aspiring women producers in this program they will actively support women writers/directors in the future as we move steadily toward correcting the gender inequity that plagues our industry.
