VOLUNTEER FOR THE 10th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FEMALE EYE FILM FESTIVAL!

THE FEMALE EYE IS ACTIVELY RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE
FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

Hosts:
Program hosts are wanted for theatre screenings. Hosts greet the audience, introduce the film program and moderate the audience Q & A’s with the filmmakers in attendance following the screenings. Film programs are 120 min in duration. Hosts must have a deep appreciation for independent cinema and must be knowledgeable in regards to the status of women directors.

Volunteer Coordinator:
The Volunteer Coordinator ensures that volunteer information forms are complete and up to date with volunteer contact information, and assists the Volunteer Captain with her duties via the dissemination of information.

General Volunteers:
The FeFF seeks ushers for film screenings, as well as, volunteers who can assist with the set up and tear down of the media /registration suite, panel discussions, script readings, round table discussions and Best In The Biz Tribute Series.

All industry sessions take place at the Novotel Toronto Centre.(45 The Esplanade, TORONTO, ON).

Photographers:
We seek creative and talented photographers to capture the energy of awards nights, panel discussions, opening and closing ceremonies, and more.

Drivers:
The FeFF needs capable G class drivers with excellent records to help in the transportation out-of-town special guests as well as the safe transport of festival equipment and supplies.

Donations:
We seek articulate, communicative volunteers who are able to solicit donations/gifts for the VIP Registration/ GIFT Bags.

STREET TEAM (PR & Marketing)

The FeFF seeks individuals who can disseminate flyers, postcards and provide ticket give-aways to local businesses in the GTA two weeks prior to the event.

FEMALE EYE FILM FESTIVAL WRAPS, ANNOUNCING AWARD RECIPIENTS: MARY HARRON; MACKENZIE PHILLIPS, AND AWARDS FOR BEST OF SHOW, BEST DOCUMENTARY, BEST CANADIAN FEATURE & MORE

(Toronto, ON – March 21, 2011):

The Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) wrapped on Sunday March 20, 2011 with record-breaking attendance and success. Celebrating international women directors, the festival attracted notable talent from around the world including Mackenzie Phillips (One Day At A Time, American Graffiti), Tyler Blackburn (Pretty Little Liars), Anne Tait (Iron Road), Mary Harron (American Psycho, I Shot Andy Warhol and The Notorious Betty Page)

The Female Eye is a competitive festival that presents various awards to talented filmmakers and screenwriters. The Festival held an inspiring award gala at sponsoring hotel, Novotel Toronto Centre, 45 The Esplanade on Sunday evening. The gala ceremonies welcomed filmmakers, screen writers, actors, industry guests and film fans. The Female Eye Film Festival is proud to announce this year’s award recipients for their outstanding achievements:

FeFF Day 2!!

Another great day of films is ahead as we enter into our second day of the festival!

The second day of the fest starts off at 11AM at the Novotel as FeFF proudly presents an Intimate Conversation with our 2011 Honourary Director, acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Mary Harron (American Psycho, The Notorious Bettie Page, I Shot Andy Warhol and The Moth Diaries).

Followed by our Canadian Aboriginal Filmmaker Program, Canadian Shorts and Documentary Program and North American Short Documentary program, all which are screening at Rainbow Cinemas Market Square (80 Front Street).

And, this evening, join us at 7pm for our Gala Feature Film, Amazon Falls playing at the Carlton Cinema (2 Carlton St.)
