Since its inception in 2001, The Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) has offered a respected and celebrated forum for women directors both at home and abroad.  Founder Leslie Ann Coles was first inspired to create the event while touring festivals with her own debut film “In the Refrigerator,” which screened at more than 35 International Film Festivals and garnered multiple awards.

During these journeys Coles observed that female directors were a minority among the filmmakers attending these events.  Inspired by the quality of films coming from these passionate women, Coles curated and hosted the inaugural Female Eye Film Festival.

What started out as a modest event featuring a small selection of films culled from international independent film festivals has grown exponentially over the past eleven years.  FeFF now attracts submissions from female creators across the globe, and now looks forward to presenting its 10th anniversary edition, March 28th – April 1st, 2012 in celebration and recognition of these amazing women directors.
